About a hundred metres away is the River Aled but don’t worry about flooding, it’s away down the hill and most of North Wales would be underwater if the river ever rose enough to reach the house. When the rains have fallen in the mountains, the river can be heard with a low roar. Walk a short short distance along the lane and a foot path leads down to a bridge where you can watch the fish, the water flowing or the birds feeding or just cross over to continue your walk on the other side of the valley.
